Beginning this blog

One day I woke up, decided that I do just about everything on the net... EXCEPT blog. And that day was today! I was a teen through the age of when phones were still for talking and where AIM messenger, Xanga and Myspace were "the new thing," so blogging and social media are not foreign to me.  I've been asked by many to share my experiences and I will attempt to do just that. Through sharing reviews, links and sign ups, the newest things I discover, and recommendations, I hope to accomplish something. Being an ISTJ, this is definitely outside of my comfort zone, so I will openly say, suggestions are welcomed!

Into my 20s, I found my true love, all things frugal, free, and that I could do from the comfort of my bed or couch. Not to be confused with a SAHM or a person who never leaves the house, by day, I do work a full-time job outside of the house. But at all times, I will always be Da Net Junkie!

The things I do, how I got started, and the things I love to share with others:
Volunteerism: One of the greatest experiences in my life is volunteer work. That has and will continue to be one of my frugal passions. It doesn't cost a dime to volunteer your time!

Movie Screenings: In 2011, my best friend introduced me to movie screenings. 1) Be the first to see new movies that have not yet hit theaters and 2) See it for FREE. How many movies have I seen? From this experience, I learned patience and the ability to have things handy activities easily and readily available while being let in the theater. When I relocated, I stopped attending them because it just wasn't the same experience, however, this is something I plan to continue.

Surveys: I have been doing surveys for years. It's a slow but beneficial task.

Market Research & Panels: While this has definitely slowed down since relocating, I have also been doing in person, web-based, and university studies for several years. I first became aware of these opportunities as a broke college student and the option to be paid definitely made me seek out these opportunities.

Samples: I absolutely love getting samples in the mail to try out new products. I DO NOT buy travel size items for travel because samples are also perfect for this!

Mystery Shopping: In 2013, I started mystery shopping. What I too thought was a scam proved to be what I consider my second job and a life changing experience. It opened my eyes and mind to places that

Couponing: In 2014, I started actively couponing and stockpiling. All of a sudden, the things that I would urgently and regretfully have to rush to the store to get when I ran out of, I no longer had to. Dog food, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry soap, bottle water? I would never run out of again as far as I was concerned.

Rebates: This most definitely requires you to put some money upfront, but it also is a great way to get free items. This is not for everyone, but I tried it a few times and found it worked for me. Beware: you have to have to HAVE TO read everything and adhere to all the requirements.

Cashback: Similar to rebates, this requires money up front as well. I did not step into a single store on Black Friday last year, did all my shopping online and got quite a bit of money back. There are many cashback websites and apps, I look to share and review.

Product Reviews: And then, there is my newest venture: product review. I've been doing it for about 2 months. I get items at a very reduced cost or free in exchange for my honest, unbiased feedback (good or bad). Follow me through this journey! Between product reviews and samples, my mailbox is almost never empty!

Beyond others saying I should share things, someone asked me the other day, "Do you blog?" And when I responded "no" I thought to myself... but I could! And so it begins...
